JUST MOVED TO MYRTLE BEACH AND YOU’RE SEARCHING FOR AN INTERIOR DESIGNER THAT FITS YOUR STYLE?

Shabby Chic Cottage Vintage style sums up my personal design aesthetic. I like mixing old antiques & family heirlooms with functional vintage items, found in my shopping adventures through the year’s. Your home is always a reflection of you, your style, personal travels and where you feel most at peace. It’s a sanctuary where you can take a breath, feel protected and safe from all the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.

That style is different for each client. Sometimes it’s clear when walking into a new space that I can identify your taste quickly. Tastes can range from: Traditional, Modern, Industrial, Vintage, Transitional or Eclectic. Occasionally, my potential clients need me to ask more probing questions to evaluate what style makes them feel happy and comfortable. Many times, it can be searching Pinterest pictures that provokes a positive reaction. An educated Designer can create your personal style without forcing their own design preferences onto your project.

What makes a Designer successful, is carefully listening to what the client’s needs, budget and vision is for the space. Psychology plays a large role in succeeding to the next level of earning each client’s trust. In the initial hour of meeting, it’s important for the Designer to make sure that the design and personality of the client, fit the Designer they are trusting with the project. Like anything in life, it does not always go smoothly.

In my 30 years of designing spaces like Kitchens, Baths, Bedrooms, Living Rooms, Offices and Commercial Spaces. I have encountered and overcome many different types of difficult situations, that comes with experience. For the job to be successful, it’s very important that the client understands two things:

  1. I educate my customers on how the process works with the investment they are making, and
  2. Establish trust that I am confident in my ability to accomplish the job efficiently

I love my career and look forward to every new client I have the opportunity to help in such a positive way. Life is always changing and keeping up with trends, new furnishings and the color of the year is what keeps me on my toes and challenges my creativity. Every six months, I look forward to taking a trip to Highpoint for the International Furniture Show with educational seminars and new product finds. This week inspires me to keep up with the ever-changing industry. I feel so blessed to have chosen this wonderful profession that makes my life, and the lives of my customers, happy and fulfilled.
