Fall 2023 Highpoint Show – Summary

Fall 2023 Highpoint Show

This fall season, I noticed many showrooms returning to basics, incorporating layers in neutral warm tones with delicate tints. It becomes easier for both buyers and designers to appreciate details in neutrals, such as the sofa lines or trim intricacies, providing a sense of cleanliness, purity, and heightened visibility. Layering whites and neutrals creates introspective and contemplative spaces, and the combination of monochromatic whites with soft tints and a touch of chroma adds depth and sophistication. The extensive use of natural light woods and rattan feels organic and warms the cooler whites.

Residing in the South, I am consistently drawn to the coastal vibe reflected in oceanic blues and greens. Vitality and tranquility perfectly describe the anthology of converging blue and green. The physiological response to blue, inducing relaxation and stress reduction, aligns with the desired feeling upon returning home after a long day at the office.

Green hues evoke the outdoors, bringing nature indoors to recharge and complement the cooler colors of blue and gray. Green harmonizes beautifully with various wood tones in furniture, cabinets, or floors. I observed some showrooms boldly using emerald, teal, and mint melon to balance wisps of smoky blue-gray.

I am sharing some highlighted pictures from the Highpoint market, offering you a glimpse into my visit and a preview of the upcoming 2024 trends.
