New Home Remodel in Cypress Living Plantation

Christine came to me from NJ to help her select finishes and furniture for her new home in Cypress Living Plantation. She chose an elevated contemporary coastal style.

Some of the elements she chose are a stone fireplace wall with built-ins on either side in the living room. Two sofas and swivel chairs provide ample seating. The swivel chairs work well for function, allowing easy participation in conversations in the living room as well as in the open kitchen layout.

Christine selected a large natural, unfinished teak wood sculpted coffee table with a thick clear glass top to be the focal point in the living room, weighing 436 lbs. It is a beautiful statement piece that anchors the space.

Contemporary light fixtures illuminate the island and glass dining table. A simple solid Quartzite was chosen for the perimeter, while the real star is the multi-colored quartzite selected for the Island. The backsplash features soft colors from the Island and is laid in a diamond pattern.

In the entrance under the staircase, we chose a long distressed floating console table that fits two square textured poufs underneath the apron for seating. The oyster shell painting adds color to the area and sets the tone of the home, sourced locally.

It was a great pleasure to work with Christine and John to build their home from the ground up and eventually retire in Myrtle Beach, inviting family and friends to visit.
