Redesigning Your Lifestyle During the Covid-19 Lockdown.

We have all been affected by COVID-19 stay-home order and quarantine. It makes all of us self-reflect and re-evaluate our daily lives. Many of us are now in our homes for extended periods of time and are learning about how our building
is or is not working well for us. We are now poised with the question, is our house really designed like our dream castle? And do we really have the ideal space for this new kind of home-based living? Fortunately, our interior design consultancy is not affected by the shutdown, because we can easily work and design remotely. I know that for me it has forced me to reinvent my services offered and create a new alternative for our customers.

Most of us are forced to spend long periods of time in our home with our family. It makes us see problems in our house that we never really noticed before. Furniture that we need to change because it is outdated or a layout that is not working anymore. Maybe we notice the need for more colorful accessories to finish the look or artwork that would add style and color to brighten the walls.

DESIGN AND DISCUSSION BY REMOTE
Many of the normal redesign tasks that can help the function and style of your living space can be served effortlessly via Face-Time or Zoom meeting. No need to step a foot into your castle.

My knowledge stemmed from over 25 years of interior design allows me to offer many sources of furnishing options that don’t rely on the standard retail furnishing market. We can work with your wish/needs list to look at the size, style, and budget of each space, and make recommendations for your customized, well-thought-out design plan.

A PLAN TO STAY ON BUDGET
Our process usually starts with a floor plan to scale; to really gauge a living space, we need to know the real size of things. With a proper schedule and some assistance, we can get this floor plan made in at least an approximate number set. Next step, we begin to generate a collage of the new items on what we call a “design board” to illustrate how the room will be pulled together. When it comes together, it’s like a beautiful puzzle, seeing all the pieces fit correctly for masterpiece living space. Every space is unique and challenging, and at the end should fit the way you live and lifestyle you feel the most comfortable in.

ONLY A PHONE CALL AWAY
So much of my job is translated into a PDF file, and via email, to show you as much as I can visually, how those items will work in scale, style and color. Our renderings and design boards are the perfect guide, and the ultimate map on how to reimagine your challenged living spaces.  Yes, it is very important to see you and have a personal relation-ship with each of my clients. Very often we become friends and have long-lasting relationships. However, at these times when we need to have some physical distance, it is necessary to have computer conferencing. As we wait for the path back to normal living, we see an emerging need for folks to still have their interior-design needs met. We can serve product samples via direct mail or schedule drop-off. Samples of wallpaper, paint swatches, fabrics and finishes to feel and touch for approval.

SPRINGTIME REVIVAL
Spring is here, and it is the perfect time to refresh our lives and think about our outdoor spaces as well. Outdoor kitchens, patios, pergolas and gardens are among our many exterior speciality services. We can help you design the layout and treatments of any space. Ask the family if they have any input on ideas or troubles in living space now that your home is getting its full use.  To discuss your future needs of long- and short-term goals to make your house the perfect home, please don’t hesitate to call us. Be safe and happy, and live your live-in style.
