North Myrtle Beach Condo Interior Design in Del Webb Retirement Community
Terri and Mark hired my services as soon as they closed on their new home in Del Webb, North Myrtle Beach. Relocating from the North and beginning a new chapter of retirement is something they had been looking forward to. We met shortly after closing on their one-story home and immediately began the design process. Floor plans for each room were drafted to confirm which furniture pieces they would bring with them and what needed to be purchased. The living and dining areas required thoughtful planning, and a coastal color palette of green and blue was selected to establish a relaxed beach vibe. The style leans slightly postmodern, with comfortable, functional furniture layered in textures that nod to coastal living.
A Coastal Bedroom with Postmodern Charm
The primary bedroom features the Tommy Bahama St. Kitts bed, with a rattan headboard showcasing a contemporary pediment design in leather-wrapped carved bamboo. On each side of the bed, hand-applied indigo leather wraps the Caspian Chairside Tables, adding a sophisticated and unexpected touch.
Custom Dining With Personality and Craftsmanship
A custom, self-storing extension dining table—crafted by Amish artisans in a warm cherry finish—was selected for its transitional style and practicality. The Lexington dining and counter stools coordinate beautifully, featuring a unique striped woven back and custom colorful fabric on the seat cushions.
Layered Textures and Relaxed Living
In the living room, a colorful wool Jaunty rug anchors the space. Two textured blue leopard swivel chairs complement a reclining three-cushion sofa in a soft blue-gray hue. Two small round side tables, finished in a hand-applied light oatmeal wash, flank the sofa. A white wood stylized ceiling fan and two mini pendant rope lights with blue striping complete the open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area, reinforcing the home’s coastal charm.
Once the artwork was hung and final touches were added, the cozy house truly became a home—ready for Terri and Mark to enjoy for many years to come.
